Disability Examination
A disability examination helps to determine if a patient has any neurological problem that makes it impossible for him/her to engage in any gainful employment.
Having a diagnosis, however, does not mean that one automatically qualifies to receive disability benefits. Each condition has its own set of criteria which must be met in order to be granted benefits under that listing.
Although the exact standards vary depending on the nature and symptoms of the specific condition, in general, a patient’s disability must be severe enough to prevent one from performing basic work-related activities on a regular basis.
